Trilix is a family of lamps for indoor and outdoor spaces featuring a lightweight structure, comprised of three elements that are intertwined to give stability and support to a flat disc with a ring of direct light which is softly diffused in the surrounding space.
The lamp head concentrates the light emission downwards, in a controlled, glare-free but open way which generates a large area of light.
Trilix, whose name comes from the Latin for 3 threads, harks back to the ancient Roman tradition of weaving together a trio of strands for extra strength.
This interweaving provides a slender, open structure which interacts with the surrounding environment. Viewed from different perspectives, its regular geometry is dynamic, and reminiscent of the natural growth of a tangle of branches.
The outdoor version has a base to ensure correct fixing to the ground and to support the growth of climbing plants, while the indoor version is even more minimalist, resting on just three rods that stabilise the structure.
In the outdoor version, Trilix also comes as a bollard, the 90cm high structure providing a perfect solution for lighting pathways, creating a dialogue with the natural surroundings.
